Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice-Chairman Richard Fain followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Township Supervisors in attendance were Richard Fain, Ben Fiorito, and Steven Rothenberger. Also in attendance were Joseph Bresnan, Township Solicitor, Thomas Latshaw, Road Foreman, and Stanley Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.
John Walsh inquired as to whether a joint meeting with Pennsburg Borough and Upper Hanover Township was arranged regarding the Upper Perkiomen School District Middle School Project. Manager Seitzinger indicated that he was not aware that such a meeting had been scheduled. Melanie Cunningham inquired as to whether the Board of Supervisors had approved waivers relating to the Upper Perkiomen Middle School Project. Manager Seitzinger reported that none of the requested waivers were approved to date.
A resident inquired as to whether any of the Upper Perkiomen School District School Board Members had attended any of the Upper Hanover Township meetings. Manager Seitzinger reported that school board members have attended Township meetings.
Incentives for Municipal Volunteers of Fire Companies and Non-Profit Emergency Medical Services Agencies
Discussion ensued. It was recommended that the matter be scheduled for discussion at an upcoming Upper Perkiomen Valley Regional Planning Commission meeting. It was recommended that the three boroughs and Upper Hanover Township coordinate the adoption of incentives on a regional basis.
Actuary Letter of Engagement – Korn Ferry Hay Group
Mr. Fiorito moved to approve the actuary letter of engagement for the Korn Ferry Hay Group for 2017.The motion was seconded by Mr. Rothenberger and carried affirmatively.
Hough Associates Recycling Grant Agreement
Mr. Rothenberger moved to approve a one year agreement with Hough Associates for the recording of 2016 recycling data with the fee to be based upon 50 percent of the amount of any grant award over $20,461. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fiorito and carried affirmatively.
Review of February 14, 2017 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting Agenda
The agenda was reviewed.
A resident inquired concerning whether or not plans existed to change Landis Road into a one way road. The Township Supervisors reported that the option was no longer under consideration.
Kim Jacobs presented information concerning the traveling Vietnam War Memorial.
Mr. Rothenberger moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fiorito and carried affirmatively.
