Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Eugene Fried followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Township Supervisors in attendance were Dorothy Diehl, Richard Fain, Eugene Fried, Ben Fiorito and Steven Rothenberger. Also in attendance were Joseph Bresnan, Township Solicitor, John Weber, Township Engineer and Stanley Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.
Larry Taglieber inquired concerning the status of a property maintenance enforcement activity on Gravel Pike.
Wentz Property Concept Plans
Kain Wentz reviewed and discussed a proposed change in use at the site on Gravel Pike previously considered for The Crossings project. The new proposal concerns the construction of age restricted housing along with a small commercial area in the front. The Board of Supervisors expressed a general consensus with the concept and requested that the housing density be reduced from the original concept plan.
Municipal Building HVAC and Electric Bids
Stephen Gribb, Systems Design Engineering, Inc. presented the bid tabulations for the municipal building HVAC and electrical improvements. Discussion ensued. Mr. Fain moved to award the HVAC contract to the low bidder B&E Boiler Works in the amount of $109,950.00 and to award the electrical contract to Shannon A. Smith, Inc. in the amount of $109,443.00. The motion was seconded by Mr. Rothenberger and carried unanimously.
Fuel Island Canopy
The Board of Supervisors discussed alternatives for the proposed installation of the fuel island canopy at the Township Maintenance Building.
Service Award Resolution #2019-10 – Mike Wetzel
Mr. Rothenberger moved to adopt Resolution #2019-10. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Diehl and carried unanimously. It was noted that the service award would be presented at an upcoming retirement gathering.
Annual Road Inspection
The Board of Supervisors established April 30, 2019 for the scheduled road inspection departing from the Township Municipal Building at 5:30 p.m.
Authorization to Sell Gray Pick-Up Truck and Plow on Munici-Bid
The Board of Supervisors approved the listing of the gray pick-up truck and plow on Munici-Bid.
Acceptance of Township Woods Right of Way – Butter Valley Golf Port
Mr. Fain moved to accept the Township Woods right of way at the Butter Valley Golf Port by Resolution #2019-12. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fiorito and carried unanimously.
Review of April 9, 2019 Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting Agenda
The agenda was reviewed.
The Board of Supervisors agreed to sponsor two youths for participation in the Pennsylvania State Police cadet program in the total amount of $500.
Mr. Rothenberger moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:07 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fain and carried unanimously.
