Montgomery County Will Not Hold Electronics Collections

Due to forces beyond their control, Montgomery County will not be able to hold electronics collection events.  Although state law requires electronic manufacturers to offer recycling opportunities for TVs and computers, those manufacturers are no longer sponsoring county recycling collections in the Southeastern PA region.

ˇ         Best Buy will no longer accept TVs and monitors at their free recycling drop offs. They will accept computers (without monitors), printers, batteries, ink cartridges and many other items. Also, residents may still schedule a TV pickup with Best Buy for $99 according to their website under TV and Video Haul-Away Options. TVs may be accepted for a fee.

ˇ         Salvation Army Thrift Store in Montgomeryville accepts working TVs of any size and shape as well as working computers and electronics.  They are located at 671 Bethlehem Pike, Montgomeryville, PA 18936, phone number 215-631-1570.
