HANOVER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES OF AUGUST 2, 2021
Call to Order
The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice Chairman Laessig followed by
the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Roll Call
Planning Commission members in attendance were Sharon Bastone,
Alternate; Richard Fain; William Kalb; and Stefan Laessig. Also in attendance
were John Wetzel, P.E., Township Engineer; Sandy Koza, P.E., McMahon
Associates; Joseph Bresnan, Township Solicitor; and Stan Seitzinger, Jr.,
Township Manager.
Citizen Comments
Citizens in attendance did not present comments.
Approval of Minutes
Mr.
Fain moved to approve the July 7, 2021 Planning Commission regular meeting
minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Kalb and carried unanimously.
Announcements
Vice
Chairman Laessig announced that August 11, 2021 is the last date for submission
of plans for review by the Township Engineer and discussion at the September 1,
2021 regular meeting.
Old Business
Plans Scheduled for Discussion
A. Deerfield Development, Montgomery Avenue
Susan
Rice, P.E., STA Engineering reviewed and discussed the LTL Consultants and
McMahon Associates review letters.
B. GMS Environmental – 1904 Tollgate Road – Request for Waiver of Land
Development
Susan
Rice, P.E., STA Engineering reviewed the GMS Environmental – 1904 Tollgate Road
land development that is mainly located in Hereford Township with a small
section of the property located in Upper Hanover Township.
Mr.
Kalb moved to recommend a waiver of land development requirements for the GMS
Environmental – 1904 Tollgate Road land development project. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Fain and carried affirmatively.
C. Demeno Property Sketch Plan and Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment
John
Kennedy, planner, reviewed and discussed the proposed housing development along
with a proposed zoning map change from LIC to R-2.
D. Residences at Upper Hanover, Audubon Land Development
John
Nielson of Audubon Land Development reviewed and discussed a proposed sketch
plan concerning an age-restricted project to be located along Gravel Pike
across from The Shoppes.
Current Plans Without New Activity
Current
plans without new activity were reviewed.
New Business
A. Website Photo
It
was decided that a photo of the Planning Commission will be taken at the
September 1, 2021 meeting in order to update the township website.
Monthly Reports
A. Zoning
Tracy Diehl for Wawa Zoning Hearing
The
planning commission did not recommend for or against the Tracy Diehl zoning hearing
as scheduled for August 18, 2021.
B. Building Permit Report and
Escrow Report
The
monthly reports were entered into the record.
C. Regional Planning Commission
Report
It
was noted that a July meeting was not held.
D. Planning Commission Meeting Dates
The
next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2021
at 7:00 p.m.
Adjournment
Mr.
Kalb moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:27 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Bastone
and carried affirmatively.
