UPPER HANOVER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OF MARCH 6, 2019
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Brandon Reed followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Planning Commission members in attendance were Alex Anastas, Richard Fain, Jacqueline Fiorito, William Kalb, Stefan Laessig and Brandon Reed. Also in attendance were Sandy Koza, P.E., McMahon Associates, John Weber, Township Engineer, and Stan Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.
Citizens in attendance did not present comments.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Anastas moved to approve the February 6, 2019 Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Laessig and carried unanimously.
Mr. Reed announced that March 13, 2019 is the last date for submission of plans for review by the Township Engineer and discussion at the April 3, 2019 regular meeting.
Plans Scheduled for Discussion
1. Off-Site Walkway Improvements for Upper Perkiomen Middle School – Land
James Mazieka of Barry Isett & Associates discussed the most recent review letters with the Planning Commission. Discussion ensued.
Mr. Laessig moved to recommend preliminary and final approval of the Upper Perkiomen Middle School Off-Site Walkway Improvements Land Development Plan as per the plan prepared by Barry Isett Associates, Inc. dated August 15, 2018 and last revised February 13, 2019 subject to the November 1, 2018 McMahon Associates review letter and the February 28, 2019 LTL Consultants review letter. The motion was seconded by Mr. Anastas and carried affirmatively with Mr. Fain abstaining from the vote.
2. Sweet Water Tasting Room Land Development Plan
Bob Irick represented the applicant and discussed the most recent LTL Consultants review letter. The plan was tabled for further review.
3. Green Meadows Subdivision Sketch Plan
Mark Smith of Horizon Associates reviewed and discussed the most recent LTL Consultants review letter with the Planning Commission. The plan was tabled for further review.
Current Plans Without New Activity
Current plans without new activity were reviewed.
It was noted that the Gillespie Land Development Plan was filed.
It was noted that a Kershner Tract development plan was under review in Red Hill Borough.
1. Lighted Signs
Discussion ensued concerning lighted and digital signs.
B. Building Permit Report and Escrow Report
The monthly reports were entered into the record.
C. Regional Planning Commission Report
Mr. Anastas provided an update.
Mrs. Fiorito moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:34 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Laessig and carried unanimously.
