UPPER HANOVER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 5, 2019
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Brandon Reed followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Planning Commission members in attendance were Alex Anastas, Richard Fain, Jacqueline Fiorito, Stefan Laessig and Brandon Reed. Also in attendance were John Weber, Township Engineer, Chad Dixson, McMahon Associates and Stan Seitzinger, Jr., Township Manager.
Greg Foster of County Line Road presented information concerning a proposed concept plan for a high density development in Washington Township in the vicinity of Schwenkfelder Road/County Line Road.
Approval of Minutes
Mr. Anastas moved to approve the May 1, 2019 Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes. The motion was seconded by Mr. Laessig and carried affirmatively with Mr. Anastas, Mr. Fain, Mr. Laessig and Mr. Reed voting yes and with Mrs. Fiorito abstaining from the vote.
Mr. Reed announced that June 12, 2019 is the last date for submission of plans for review by the Township Engineer and discussion at the July 3, 2019 regular meeting.
Plans Scheduled for Discussion
1. Gillespie Electric Building Addition Land Development Plan
Mr. Weber indicated that the only outstanding item was the approval of an erosion and sedimentation control plan by the Montgomery County Conservation District. Discussion ensued.
Mrs. Fiorito moved to recommend preliminary and final approval of the Gillespie Electric Building Addition Land Development Plan prepared by Urwiler and & Walter, Inc. plan dated March 5, 2019, last revised May 13, 2019 subject to the receipt of the Montgomery County Conservation District approval of the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan and subject to the May 28, 2019 LTL Consultants review letter. The motion was seconded by Mr. Fain and carried unanimously.
Current Plans Without New Activity
Current plans without new activity were reviewed.
New business was not presented.
1. Lighted and Digital Signs
The Planning Commission reviewed and discussed proposed Ordinance language concerning lighted and digital signs.
B. Building Permit Report and Escrow Report
The monthly reports were entered into the record.
C. Regional Planning Commission Report
Mr. Anastas provided an update. The June and July Regional Planning Commission meetings are canceled.
D. Next Planning Commission Meeting – July 3, 2019
The July 3, 2019 Planning Commission meeting may be canceled if additional filings are not received.
Mrs. Fiorito moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m. The motion was seconded by Mr. Laessig and carried unanimously.
