• What to do
about Paint-
Latex (water based) Paint is not a hazardous
waste. Allow excess latex paint to air dry or use a
commercial waste paint hardener available at hardware
and paint stores. When dry, latex paint may be placed in
your trash for regular pickup. Oil based paint is a
hazardous waste. Save that for one of the special
household hazardous collection days.
