Upper Hanover Township
Upper Hanover Township is chartered as a Township of the Second Class and follows the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code. In April of the year 2000, the Township adopted its first Manager's Ordinance thereby combining the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a five-member Board of Supervisors, with the strong managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.

The Board of Supervisors is elected at large to six-year, staggered terms. They are elected to office by the registered voters of Upper Hanover Township. Municipal Elections occur in uneven years. Please review our Voter Information to learn where our voting locations are.
The Board of Supervisors appoints resident volunteers to serve on advisory boards and committees that make recommendations to the Board. The volunteers on advisory boards donate their time and expertise for the good of their community and are committed to making the Township a desirable place to live, work, and recreate.
